| Size: 11mm Headstamp: CHAUDUN A PARIS [over] 11 Manufacturer: Chaudun - Paris, France Additional Info: This particular cartridge was recovered right outside Bunker Hill, WV in a Confederate camp from the American Civil War. Additional Info: This is one of the earliest fully metallic pinfire cartridges. It was manufactured in the late 1850s by Jules Joseph Chaudun. It is unique because he labeled it as an 11mm cartridge, as seen on the headstamp. I have yet to come across another example of this. |
